New Matalan store causes a stir in High Wycombe

After the success of MADE's Summer campaign in Norwich for Matalan, we ran our activity again in High Wycombe with a Wintery twist.

The new flagship store open on Bellfield Road has been designed as a concept store, introducing new ideas including scented areas to boost shoppers and a design resembling a catwalk.

To create a buzz around the town we erected our inflatable shoe, this time teaming it with a marquee offering a warm place for the locals to enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit. Thousands of locals signed up for a Matalan card and the excitement around the store opening was evident by the queue going out the door at 9.30am for the opening day!

A brass band ushered shoppers into the 30,000 sq ft store and shoppers were greeted by celebrity interior designer Linda Barker, chef James Tanner and High Wycombe Town Mayor Jane White who cut the red ribbon at 10am to cheers and applause. Goody bags and cuddly toys were even handed out!
