£1bn a year spent on impulse mobile purchases

You know the feeling - slightly inebriated Amazon and Ebay buying late at night on your phone.  Turns out you are not alone, as a recent study by Rackspace suggests that over £1bn is spent in the UK each year on impulse purchases via mobile.

The study, as reported by Mobile Marketing Magazine found that 41% of respondents had bought clothes impulsively on their phones, whilst books were the next most popular at 35% closely followed by music at 32%.

Someone needs to invent an  app that delays your purchases until the morning after, much like the one that stops you sending drunken texts late at night.
